First of all, I agree with all you said including Arizona was without Reggie Johnson. Fortunately for us, Miami didn't have him as well.
I thought the Cats really played very well for the first 35 or so minutes. If they play that well and with that kind of intensity, they will beat San Diego State. We just have more prime time players and much more depth. Franklin will get his points but he needs more team.
Miami would have been better with their big man, but they would still be no match for us the way we played. Miami has played good teams and won. Their RPI is just above ours. They had been on a long streak that included Michigan State.
I still think Miami would play San Diego State to a standstill. Indiana State just about did and they are not as good as Miami.
This Cat team needs to get past Zeus's clumsiness around the basket and they will. Mayes need to get his focus back. York needs to move a little better without the ball. Ashley and Jerrett are on the verge of being just fine. I really ache to see Chol get his breakout game because he is truly trying. Johnson, Hill, Parrom, and Lyons just need to keep the train going down the track.
We are now the number 3 team in America. If we win Tuesday and get to practice against the rest of the PAC-12, we will get to the point where we will actually be that good and a sure number 1 seed.
try 19 point win, game past bedtime?
