Arzouman injures knee

Jacob Arzouman

Arizona suffered their first serious injury of fall camp. Offensive lineman Jacob Arzouman has a torn ACL and will be lost for the season.

The Salpointe grad was in the mix to see playing time at tackle and worked with the first team offense at times during spring drills.

Head Coach Rich Rodriguez told the media that the injury occurred during a one-on-one drill and that he was wearing a knee brace, as all of the Wildcat offensive and defensive linemen do.

The redshirt freshman will have surgery on the knee very soon.

He is the second major injury for the Wildcats. They lost safety Adam Hall to a knee injury at the end of spring practice.
