Cox chooses Cats

Brandon Cox

Arizona’s recruiting haul continues. Just a day after landing a lineman from New Mexico, the Wildcats receive a verbal commitment from a SoCal QB.

Pasadena signal caller Brandon Cox committed to Arizona on Thursday afternoon. The 6-2, 185-pound duel threat quarterback becomes the third quarterback commit in the 2013 class.

“I decided it was the school for me,” Cox said. “There was no better time than now.”

Cox spent part of the week in Eugene camping with the Ducks, but decided Arizona was a better fit.

“Arizona felt more like home,” Cox admitted.

Cox is a three-star prospect with an 85 rating by 247Sports.com. He joins Tommy Woodson and Anu Solomon as quarterbacks in the class.

WSR will have a longer interview with Cox posted later this afternoon. In it you’ll find out where he made his decision, what he likes about the Arizona offense and what he thinks of the competition on the depth chart.
