    • I really hope we land this kid. Rondae Jefferson to AZ would be huge. He's on record saying he wants to hold off on announcing a committment until his birthday in January. Hopefully that could change if he falls in love with AZ and decides to commit on the spot.

    • You guys have lost touch. Ace is dominating every site and has all the Rondae coverage. I havent seen an interview with the kid except for PGU.

He called Rondae to Arizona months ago.

There is a reason they are #1. Lets face it, they do everything better.

      kiwikid

    • that wasnt Ace, he has never said anything about football ever.

Listen, Im calling it like I see it and its clear PGU knows more than everyone.

If recruiting information is what you want, then sure but why does knowing about a recruit before everyone else matter? To me I love this site because it has top notch articles by people who understand the game of basketball. I have never seen actual and original basketball analysis on any other fan site that can hold a candle to WSR.

Just depends on what you want.

Exactly liver, pgu only lives on predictions when it comes to recruits. Who cares really who calls what, what else do they offer? You want IN DEPTH analysis of BOTH basketball and football, Gary, Brad and the rest of the crew got it on lock, lock

    • Gary likes Holly Sonders, and any guy who has that exceptional kind of taste is an exceptional basketball writer, analyst, and true connoisseur of all he surveys.

      RBob1

    • From what i have heard that other site is full of college kids or kids just out of college who want the recruit info and not much else. And all he idiot who runs it does is cry about others taking his info or calling out posters who disagree with him and banning them from his site. Plus last i heard he will not be in any UofA lockerroom any time soon as they WILL not grant him press cridentials. If that does not say what you need to knwo about him then i do not knwo what does.

Like said above if you want actually knowledge about The Univeristy and all of its programs then this is the place to get it. WSR all the way!

Though she may be hot her taste in married men is very very questionable!!!

      Not so sure about that.

There's an ASU grad at work who also likes Holly Sonders.

Actually, pretty much everyone I know likes her.

Gary adds exceptional basketball knowledge and analysis to every news piece he writes. I think Brad also probably adds value somewhere along the line as well. Its different than PGU. If I want interviews with recruits or current players or mix tapes of recruits, I definitely tune to PGU. That stuff is definitely cool. But if I want indepth hoops analysis, no one beats Gary. Sometimes i tune in to the football stuff too.

    • Guys, after last summer's blow up, Ace and I are on the same page so let's not create problems here. I do give PGU props as they've been on the Rondae Jefferson angle for about 6 months, not 2. Each site provides unique things, which I think have been pointed out and I'd argue that's what makes coverage of Arizona basketball on the Internet some of the best coverage in the country.

As a coach would tell his players, let's keep our eye on the ball.

      Gary Randazzo

    • There should be plenty of coverage of Jefferson this week and weekend as he'll be at the Elite 24 on the Venice Beach outdoor basketball courts this Saturday. Frazier, Mudiay and others will be playing as well so basketball recruiting coverage on the net should be plentiful.

      Gary Randazzo

    • ...and of course its frickin' POURING here today. The weather seems like an insignificant factor, but so many recruits come here because the fall in love with the campus and the atmosphere around campus. Raining like it is today makes it kinda hard to get around campus.

Ace mentioned earlier that Davonte Neal had committed to AZ. How'd that one go? No one's perfect, but Ace goes out on a limb quite a bit to report things as fact before they're actually fact. He's right many times. But just because he's reporting it, doesn't mean its true quite yet.

Davonte did want to come to Arizona but his father refused to sign the LOI. It became a real pissing match between Davonte and his father.

    • Gary,

Glad to hear you and Ace are on the same page... his stuff last summer was asinine and someone coming here and telling us how much better he is was one of the more humorous things I've read recently.

My flamethrower is at your disposal.... Perhaps no one at PGU has heard my thoughts on how Lute should not be in the hall of Fame until he admits that Livengood made him accept corrupt officiating at the 2001 NC game and starts an official protest. Or that Richard Jefferson was a better basketball player (pure skills) than Sean Elliott. Or that no real Arizona fan supports a football program with season ticket purchases after losing to New Mexico twice.... those will usually get people going.... I've got more....

    • I definitely agree with Ben that all this rain works against us in terms of seeing the campus on a nice day and the shorties walking around with hardly a thing on. That could easily be a deal breaker. At least it would have been for me...

Then again its more then experiencing the weather to most of these kids.

Ace and co. have called every top 100 prospect as a lock for Arizona for years. Then when someone actually commits the thread is mysteriously revived as a "I told you so" moment. Now if they could only learn to stop taking stories from every other major news outlet on the planet, real fans might actually be able to take them seriously.

The rain helps some of the outfits TEWA.

    • Ace and company obviously have there contact to get mostly accurate basketball recruiting info sooner than anyone else. They provide the best recruiting info for AZ fans attending the most basketball events to get video of recruits. The problem is the self aggrandizing Bull ### crap that goes on over there and the way the posters are treated in general. Add that to how for years they griped and complained about other sites charging for premium info and now what are they doing? It's just so hypocritical and annoying I just don't know if the info is worth it. Seriously it is a joke how everyone sucks up to the staff over there and bends over and takes it just to get the info. Before Josh Gershon left the other site he was right on top of all the info without all the Bull****. Ace and Co. could learn a lot about how he handled things with poise and tact.
