Rich Rodriguez avoided the temptation of a quick fix in recruiting for last year’s class, adding just one scholarship JUCO player for 2012. It appears that Rodriuguez will again go heavy towards the high school ranks, but earlier this week the Wildcats added a JC player’s commitment.
Prince Holloway committed to Arizona midweek, though the commitment just became public over the weekend. Holloway originally committed to Rodriguez out of Cape Corrall High School in Floriday, but academic sent him the JC route. He wound up at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
"For once in my life I feel wanted," Holloway wrote on Facebook in regards to his "Arizona family."
Holloway is a slot receiver and a cornerback and it remains to be seen where the Wildcats eventually use him.
At around 5-9, 160, Holloway is a bit undersized, but possesses explosive speed. He projects as a slot receiver if he plays on offense. While he lacks ideal height for defense, he does have solid cover skills.
