    • NDINOC....can I come that party!!!!!

      Mrzipityduda

    • That is the talent that shows up at our house in South Bend for the ND Games. It goes without saying that its a good time. LOL

    • Is there any reason to think that he wouldn't have DE-committed anyway?

      1. Anae would still be (at least partially) his coach
      2. Nothing about our offense since Gronk is set up for a TE. Did we even have TE last year?
      3. We're up against Oklahoma for a recruit. Short of collusion between the brothers or delusion on the part of the recruit, Oklahoma is going to win every time.

When you, as a staff, win 4 games, you're gonna lose recruits. And that's why I am not LMAO about the previous regimes inability to recruit. How many ALL-PAC-12 players did we have this year? Yea, that's recruiting, or rather the lack there of. Nothing funny about that.

      Wine,

You seriously need to do your homework before commenting on anymore posts. You just sound foolish, it would be to your benefit and us reader's benefit if you used a little common sense and facts to back up your ridiculous statements.

      1. Our OL commits, have reaffirmed their commitments BECAUSE Anae was retained.
      2. No one since Gronk has been anywhere near the class. Since Dykes left we haven't had an OC who could call a play over the middle to ANY receiver, much less a TE.
      3. Did Gronk come here or OK?

      bpwildcat

    • Gronkowski would have been a huge difference maker for Arizona had he stayed;

If he had been utilized fully.

To think of what Arizona might have been offensively had he ever received a pass from Foles is almost beyond comprehension.

I think we threw to a TE about three times this year. Either that position was eliminated from this year's offense altogether, or there was no one that could play that position this year and catch the ball. Either way, there was something missing.

      BlkMtn

    • I think basically since Seth took over the offense we pretty much eliminated the TE from our offense. A.J. rarely had the ball thrown in his direction, but when it was he caught it. Last year Drew Robinson had, what, 3 or 4 catches? I'm not sure we ever threw it to Baucus over the middle and that is one thing he could do is go over the middle.

      Wine,

      Homework assignment. Causal relationships.

      1. List our coaching staff from last year. What was our record last year? Is there a causal relationship?

      2. Discuss our talent level as it pertains to recruiting. Which recruiting class currently enrolled at Arizona was widely recognized as being in the top 3 or 4 of our conference? Which Arizona players were nominated for national awards at their respective positions? Which ones were listed on the first or second team all conference team? Which coaches are responsible for recruiting the players who won or did not win the awards or receive honors? Is their a causal relationship between recruiting player achievement?

      3. If we state a premise that coaches are responsible for developing talent, which players showed enough development to win national awards at their respective positions? Which ones developed enough to be listed on the first or second team all conference team? Who were the coaches responsible for developing this talent? Is there a causal relationship between the development of players and coaching?

FACT: Arizona won four games last year with a program that had been in place for 8 years. Either we don't recruit good enough talent to win or we don't develop good enough talent to win. Erring on the side of caution I'd say it's both. FACT: Arizona did not produce any national awards for individual players and only one (was it second or third?) team all pac-12 player. FACT: The best QB in school history was not good enough to be selected to the ALL-PAC12 team. FACT: based on any rational criteria, when compared to most other football programs, Arizona is not 'talented'. FACT: the only two sources of talent are recruiting and development. FACT: Our results indicate that we are not recruiting OR developing enough talent.

Are you suggesting that common sense and research will reveal that our players were selected to the all conference teams? Are there any facts that show we have players wining Thorpe awards or Heisman trophies?

Is it a ridiculous statement to suggest that our best recruiter maybe wasn't good in enough looking back at a 4 win season?

Use common sense by knowing that several of the players on this years team have been on Pac12/10 all conference teams and have been nominated for national awards in previous years.
(Foles, Criner, Wade, Golden, Washington, etc...) When a team has a bad year it is rare that players get acknowledged individually. I agree about Stoops noit being a good HC, but he did get some good players to come here and we do get players that have been offered by big schools including oklahoma. There is talent on this team.

    • Wine... As I posted on the Kish thread... What purpose does regurgitating the Stoops era serve? On the one hand losing McNamara is a tragedy... but on the other hand we can not recruit... Which is it??? McNamara was recruited and committed, now he is leaving because the offensive scheme will be changing... that's all... We will lose some recruits and will now pick up some that weren't interested before... Lets leave the past and embrace the future...

Many of us are happy that a change was made... Enough of calling out others for not sharing your willingness to NOT let go of the Mackovic and Stoops eras... banghead Yes you were one of the first to call for both of their firings.... Congratulations to you....clap Your deep felt love of the CATS is appreciated and shared by all of us on this board...

Now impress us all with how we are going to put that all behind and build the type of program we all are yearning for... I will be all in with you on that...rockon

So glad to have back in your true form of posting on the Cats.
Yes Sir I was the guy pointing out RR's flaws, but your turn is coming.
BTW I spent an hour alone with RR,and we both agreed on one subject.
Everybody is worth an opportunity for REDEMPTION holy
      Almost everybodylol

    • McNamara is a TRAITOR!

Wherever he goes will have a cursed program because of his de-committment to Arizona!

Just as we all HATED Gronkowski for selling his soul for the almighty dollar and not finishing his four years, spitting on all that is Arizona, we must hate McNamara too.

Thought maybe some of you had missed this. :)

      BlkMtn

    • Lets just hope that Rodriguez ends the curse of having our top players injured every year. One reason it may appear that Arizona has so few award winners is over the last four seasons our best player has been sidelined, in most cases for the entire season.

I comfortably believe that if Gronk returned for his junior season, the year we lost to Oregon in double overtime, Arizona would have been in the Rose Bowl. Entering that season, the offense was entirely designed around the TE position to try and get Gronk upwards of 100 catches.

As has been discussed though, it doesn't look like UA will be utilizing the TE much, at least next season, and losing McNamara is not all that shocking knowing that. He'll go to one of the schools that put TE's into the NFL like Oklahoma or Notre Dame and likely live a happy life.

      Gary Randazzo

    • HE WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AFTER DISSING ARIZONA

      BlkMtn

    • He will definitely miss the "scantily clad co-eds" on gamedaybiggrin

Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it....

It serves no purpose, I was responding to someone else who asked me to look at the facts.

I am suggesting we need to NOT retain coaches from a 4 win team and therefore I am the one looking forward and not tied to Mackovic or Stoops eras.

If you want me to get behind RR, he needs to stop hiring coaches from last years staff.
