Todd Peat, Jr., a highly coveted defensive tackle from Corona Del Sol High School (Tempe, Ariz.), chose Nebraska over Arizona State this morning. His official announcement will come later today at his elementary school. However, Peat, Jr., who attended this morning's Phoenix Market Signing Day press event told Wildcat Sports Report's Canyon Allis the reason why he ultimately decided to become a Cornhusker over a Sun Devil.
“I was down to ASU and Nebraska," said Peat, Jr. "I was pretty much going to choose ASU, but was driving home last night and saw a Nebraska license plate, something I’d never seen before and took it as a sign that I should become a Cornhusker.”
Peat, Jr., a 6-foot-3, 295 defensive lineman adds to an already deep and talented 2011 Nebraska recruiting class.
