Overcoming the hysteria

Sean Miller

Sean Miller's Wildcats enter the week 4th in the AP and 5th in the USA Today Coach's polls.

Arizona returns to action tonight at McKale Center to face the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.

    • Nice write up...

Maybe this is where depth can work in our favor. If there is emotional let down by our starters, throw York or MAyes or Chol out there... those guys are going to be hungry and energized.

    • I'm not sure if anyone posted this video that the program put out like the ones they did for big football wins. I love this stuff. I love Coach's speech after the game and I love that he brought Chase and Channing into the locker room and let them speak. It truly is a "Player's Program".

    • I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment about CSM spreading the PT a little deeper into the rotation. These early season "buy games" can be used to establish the bench and get the reserves some confidence heading into the conference season and potentially more competitive situations. Hopefully Chol and York are able to get some extended playing time in this one.

That was awesome to hear CSM in the locker room - you can tell that he cares. Thanks for sharing.

    • I loved how Miller was "thanking" the crowd afterwards. He knows how important they were on Saturday!!!

Very well said. It's not about throwing guys a bone by getting them minutes, but continuing to build a deep. All it takes is one rolled ankle and you may have a starter miss the entire second half against a very good team and then what? Hopefully, Arizona's playing well tonight or in those first two games of the Hawaii Tournament where putting in Chol and having him make a mistake is not so critical that you have to take him out. As for York, he just needs to see the court before too many games go by.
