We need all the facts first, but obviously this is not good. I will say that I think we will be impressed with how RR handles this.

  • For those of you who missed it, four players (and one former player) arrested for assault and tresspassing at a weekend party. Players were Grandon, Ebbelle, Bender-Ramsey and Tevis (though Tevis not charged with assault. Former Cat, who is out of football with an injury, Josh Robbins also involved.

  • Here is the link. Absolutely pathetic on Ebbele and Grandon's part, they should be kicked off the team if this is true.

  • sounds fishy to me so i'll withold judgement. football players punching women in the face? I think the evidence would be overwhelming.

  • that being said...at the very least they should be punished for putting themselves in that position.

About a week ago, I spoke with a friend of mine who is close with the Robbins family. I questioned the injury reason of Josh no longer being on the team. It was inferred that Josh had some behavior issues and maybe did not fit in well with Coach Rod's type of players. I guess that was a good call by my buddy!!

  • How RR handles it will be telling. But an experienced staff SHOULD know exactly what to do.

tazcat - don't get riled up yet, but if you can prove that this is in any way related t the new caching staff and not just some random stupidity that would have happened under any staff - then I'm all ears.

  • Well; first test for the new staff.

At the least, I would put any actually guilty player on warning, once more and you are gone.
Second, any actually guilty player would run stadium steps until he could only crawl.
Third- his first-game playing status would be discretionary to his position coach right up to kick-off, holding that over his head right up until game time.

If it's worse, if we have actual assalut charges and jail time, that changes to whatever the court says.

All proving, that stupid immaturity is not dead.

  • I'm thinking all players suspected of being involved will be suspended indefinitely. Any player eventually found guilty will be kicked off the team once the AD gets word that they are guilty. I'd think that players not found guilty or found to have a very minor role in this event would be let back on the team, but would be on a very short leash when it comes to future violent incidents. You don't want this kind of stuff around the football program. There are too many things going in a positive direction to have this stuff hold it back. I imagine it'll be dealt with swifty and severely. Rich Rod's gotta lay down the law.

  • Eric Bender-Ramsay was at practice, but Ebelle and Grandon were not. Was not able to determine if Tevis was there or not.

I was not throwing a barb at you - the day RR was hired, you said we'd need more campus police and if you have any info linking RR to increased crime rate among FB players, I think you should post it.

I'm standing by my tongue-in-cheek rant."Call me crazy".
But for you to tell me what I should be posting is absurd.
Thanks for the opportunity to chime into this topic.

Don't Leaopards and Lions fall under the broad moniker of 'Wild Cats'?

I was being gracious and recognizing you for what now appears to be a prophecy (which was anything but tongue in cheek - you back pedaled an defended yourself for days afterward) not 'telling' you what to post.

"i think you should" is encouragement not direction but Honey Badger don't care, right?

    Correct.

Not sure what this references, but I think it's time to reintroduce the YouTube video!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Easy gem to pass by. Good subtle dry humor.

Must have been a damned good party. I wonder if the players thought to themselves, "Man, that looks like a great party, I'd knock someone the f&ck out to get into a party like that."
