Official Washington Prediction Thread

  • Brittany shares her thoughts on the outcome of the Washington Husky homecoming game this weekend. And some Irish guy jumps in and ruins the view.

Oh well, Brittany still has no faith in the AZ D and says AZ 35 Washington 31.

  • Well, unlike Brittany, I think our D is pretty good and after 4 years, Stoops will have figured out how to slow down Locker. Besides, with Nick Foles out, I think we're going to need the D to pull this out.

  • Bubba has faith in Scelfo and the O-coords, now it may be based on the amount of adult sody pop I've consumed, but I think the 'Cats role at homecoming. Crier looked like he finally got back to where he was his first year last week and Bubba's a hopin' that Z will be on top this week.

Bubba's 'Cats 33 Huskies 0. In honor of all the NC softball alumni in town the D pitches a shut out.

  • I am thinking Bubba will have to send some of that adult soda pop over to this side of the ocean, because I need to catch the spirit too............

Having said that, I believe the entire game will rest upon how much the team rallies around the bandwagon now that they are in a position in which one of their top guns has been wounded.

    Cats 23 - Wash 13

The key will be keeping the Washington D honest and not letting them stack the box for runs. Scott will have to prove himself. And here's to hoping that Scott and the coaching staff have what it takes to pull the trigger and beat Udub in a resounding manner.

  • All I said was 2-3 TDs, beating the spread. I am not going to put a point total on our offense this week.

Oh Blake, I am not saying I don't have faith in our D, I am just trying to get them to prove how much potential they have..... :)

  • They've given up only 45 points in PAC 10 play (and some points were given up by the O and special teams). Three touchdowns less than the next best D and about half of what the conference is averaging. A healthy DB squad and these guys are capable of shutting down anyone.

  • DUB 37 AZ 34

  • Arizona 19-17 in something that resembles the 2008 home loss to Oregon State except this time the script is flipped.

Lots of field goals by Arizona (4) and lots of tough defensive stands that keep fans anxious for 60 minutes.

  • Agreed I think it is going to be a nail biter! I think the Wildcats are going to put on a show and come out with a win though :) Can't wait for saturday!!! Happy homecoming Arizona!!!

  • Locker has a few breakout moments, keeps the Huskies close until the 4th quarter, when Matt Scott engineers two scoring drives (one TD, one FG) to ice the game.

  • From the Seattle paper Locker has missed a few days of practice. His first full practice was Thursday.
    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/huskyfootballblog/2013225713_thursday_practice_notes_---_lo.html

Locker, who had been limited in practice earlier in the week, practiced fully on Thursday and Sarkisian said he doesn't expect Locker to be limited in any manner Saturday at Arizona.

It's the same scenario as a week ago when Locker sat out much of practice early in the week, then participated fully on Thursday and responded by throwing five TDs in a win against Oregon State.

"I thought he had a nice practice," Sarkisian said. "I thought he looked good. Threw the ball well, ran well, really locked into what we were trying to get accomplished. So it looks like he's ready to go."

I also agree and that is why I am throwing out my score finally, 38-14 Arizona.
