My thoughts and theories on how Arizona is putting together this football recruiting class.

The combo-theory is best for now, and is probably most accurate. I do dispute the "numbers-reach" as far as just gobbling up players. That is pretty much a sour grapes theory, and no good or responsible coaching staff would do it. Ultimately, it would cost them their jobs.
One thing is left out here, and that is network. Coach Rod's staff not only inherited and followed every recruiting contact of the Stoops staff, but also brought their own extensive and time-tested network, and from that, have extended it way out into areas we have never been.
Evidence that they have done their homework? Samanjie Grant and Derek Babiash, both early two-stars who went to three stars, are now rated four stars by ESPN. Logan Stott, who was rated two-stars, is now a three (and is really a four). Stott is so red hot that he is playing in the IFAF World Championship, served as a "player rep" trying to help recruit, and I swear by anything I know that one day he will captain the Arizona line.
I'm not doing any holy-rolling here, and I really do guard against hopping a bandwagon, but I really do smell the water-hole just ahead. It's a great gut-feeling.
