Are the Wildcats back?

  • Just some bs discussion to kill the time... Brennon continues to think the Lyons transfer isn't a home run. I can't wait to see him eat those words.

  • Ya I think he will eat them for sure! A lot is riding on this class for Sean Miller, especially given the recent precedent that John Calipari set for freshman recruiting classes. Don't get me wrong I am not comparing the situation at Kentucky to the one at Arizona because they are drastically different.

  • If you believe the Wildcats are back, the Wildcats I've known would not schedule Humbolt State two years in a row:

  • at least it is preseason...ugh Miller and his soft schedule and slow offense are really pissing me off

  • Who else are you going to bring in for a preseason game? You can't schedule semi pro teams like athletes in actio or marathon oil any more. You can only schedule D2 schools or have a closed scrimmage against DI team.

  • ahh... marathon oil and athletes in action! Those were the days! Of the current options, I like the idea of closed scrimmages against D1 school but I understnad that you gotta pay the bills. At least the AD can sell tickets to the preseason games vs D2 schools. Maybe we can schedule the Colorado School of Mines or some other "elite" D2 schools. Here were the final rankings of D2 schools. There's gotta be something that we can get a better scrimmage partner than Humboldt State.

I still can't help but laugh at scheduling Humboldt State. Have any of you guys on this board been to Arcata?

I'm pretty sure the strategy is to run the "emerald triangle" and two against the Cats while passing "on the left hand side". It may have tripped up Turner last time.

Brad, what about Seatte University? Or DII National Champ Western Washington?

  • I'm surprised we're talking about Arizona's exhibition schedule. Reminds me of Creed's corner man after Drago drills Creed: "This is supposed to be AN EXHIBITION!"
