Holy smokes! That was one of the worst injuries i have ever seen. The reaction from the bench was horrible as well. My thoughts and prayers got out to this young man!
I agree! This was terrible to watch. I hope he has a swift and complete recovery. My heart goes out to this young man.
Bear Down Arizona
It hurt to watch. i cried along with all those there.
Lets hope he can pay again after that injury
One thing they probably won't show it on ESPN I was shocked they did right after with the bone sticking out. I am sure he will play again bones heal and was not to close to any ligaments or tendons. I think it was better than if he it were his knee.
Greg Gumble mentioned that Joe Theisman tweeted about the injury.
I remember Lawrence Taylor screaming for medical help after Theisman's leg was broken. Taylor said that he knew before he got up from the dogpile that a bone had snapped on someone but that it wasn't his.
Theisman's playing career ended that day.
Pitino told the CBS on-the-court reporter after the game ended that Ware will be out for one year.
I hope he's correct.
Care to gool-out on this?
I see it as a bad injury but I believe he will be back maybe part way through the next season. Medicine and sports medicine have moved a long way fro. Theisman and Bowie days. Heck there are professional skiers have fractures like this and are able to compete again. I feel bad that he will not be able to play with the team on this run that he dreamed of since he was first playing.
Thanks for the link. I have to say Ware's looks worse as it was dangling and flopping around under the rest of this leg. Luckly you did not have to see that with Joe's. Looks like they broke in the same spot though.
Horrible injury. You hate for an injury like that to happen to anybody, rival or not. Thoughts and prayers to the young man.
Time to nut up or shut up
Well, except for Lil Forkers.
