I'm in a pretty big bracket with some buddies. I got Arizona in my final 4... I know y'all were hot early, but any reason for concern?
one reason. They are about to face a team that shoots 38.6% from 3 and Arizona allows opponents to shoot 1.7% above their season averages. That could get ugly if the Arizona turns the ball over.
IMO Arizona is playing at their highest level right now. I haven't filled out my bracket but Arizona in the final 4 wouldn't shock me.
No homers here, just fans.
The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest
Except in this case, "the west is a mess".
You could go either way with probably four teams in this bracket. Picking Arizona to go all the way is no better or no worse than any other picks.
Hope it helps. Good luck to your Seminoles next year.
Thanks for the input... Up votes for both of ya
Although most here will tell you that I know nothing about college basketball - Arizona has not won a meaningful game since Christmas. We beat Miami by 19 and two nights later SDSU (they were a little better regarded back then) by 1. The Colorado win last week in the PAC-12 tourney is probably the best win we've had, but it meant nothing without wining the tournament. UCLA is the only ranked team we've played since SDSU and they beat us three times.
Although completely ignorant of college hoops, and having only watched Arizona religiously since 1985, I think we have a 50% chance of beating Belmont, a 15% of beating New Mexico and it will be a frickin miracle if we beat OSU or Gonzaga. I doubt seriously that we could beat Pitt, Wisconsin or Kansas State - all also in the west.
Hope I'm wrong and that I am not being too much of a homer.
The good (?) news is that the 35 million (whatever) Direct TV subscribers will be able to see us lose and the PAC-12 and University can't do a damn thing about it even though they don't want us to see any of the games.

I too have Arizona in my Final Four bracket. The biggest concern is the New Mexico game. I feel confident that the Arizona/New Mexico winner is Final Four bound for a variety of reasons.
The Cats have a lot going for them:
- 3 starting seniors
- Nice mix of freshmen future NBA talent that has 3 of them playing their best basketball of the season right now
- Typical high-major team that has loads of talent, went 12-0 in non-conference with big wins over multiple NCAA Tournament teams including Florida and Miami (top 3 seeds), slumped because they got lazy midway through Pac-12, but is primed for a big run now that it's truly "win or go home" (particularly the 3 seniors).
- Freshly motivated team (again, particularly the seniors) after getting hosed in the Pac-12 Tournament by some ridiculously bad calls, and then seeing their coach get fined $25K
- Cats match up very well against an Ohio State team that has zero interior offense or defense
- Draw a soft Gonzaga team (Cats can match up along the front line and will dominate the perimeter as Gonzaga has four incredibly soft guards)
*All that said, I don't see Arizona beating Louisville so Final Four will work, advancing to or winning title would take some luck in Atlanta.

I too have the Cats in Atlanta... Maybe Louisville will get knocked out before we meet...
A trip to Atlanta will be a great jump start to next year.... and beyond...
BEAR DOWN boys... The best is yet to come....
I agree if they get past New Mexico a solid well rounded team I feel the other teams are overrated or just not that good. Ohio St I have losing to Arizona but I could see them out in the second round just don't have a good feeling about any of the Big East or Big 10 teams. I feel outside of New Mexico Arizona has a relatively easy road.
O and I really don't think Louisville gets out of their region I have them out in the sweet 16. Big East seemed average preseason and then were inflated dbeating themselves so I don't see any Big East in the Elite Eight
You all are crazy. Momo will take out OH St.
