Lets talk folks.
So..it has to be the ugliest Mascot around. Looks like a mutated Potato Head
Nope, it still looks better than Disneyland Sparky.
Ohio St looked terrible not really much of a step up in competition. Big Ten like u thought extremely overrated. Looking back on their schedule of Ohio St Indiana and Michigan and the best wins were UNC, Georgetown, and NCSt. Arizona has better wins than their entire league.
The game being in LA probably helps us.
We have three teams already in the Sweet 16. Will have at least four by the end of the day. Far from overrated as no other conference will match it.
UCLA beat you guys three times. They fired their coach after getting blasted by the Big Ten's 7th best team.
I was wondering when you girls were going to show up... I guess stealing a game in the Tournament does little to humble you guys... We shall see is all I really have to say...
Don't come here to spew bs just because you live in the arm pit of the rust belt... and have nothing better to do....
BEAR DOWN boys... The best is yet to come....
I'm surprised, thought you were dead. Let's share an old memory old guys like me enjoy. You were heavily favored when we came into Columbus in September of 1967. We were a "gimme" game then and you let us know it. You were the the biggest ass I ever saw on a football sideline. We beat you 14-7. Different game I admit.
I think, Woody, you think you have a "gimme game" coming up with us in Los Angeles this week. I think you'll find it amazing when a team that gets beat by UCLA 3 times sends you back to Columbus.
Rest in peace you old bastard.
what did I say? I just stated the truth to counter an asinine statement..Hope you all don't have the small p**** syndrome out west.
Anyway, it doesn't matter, good luck and congrats on having dick rod on the football sidelines.
HMMMM, so happy that you actually follow basketball west of the mississippi. The UCLA team in the tourny was not the team that beat the CATS. Their stud guard was out to there loss to Oregon and Minn. Great job in trying....
Have fun in LA they have a lot of tattoo parlors all your players can enjoy. Just remind them to bring university issued things for trade. There are also some great places to "get your goose on". Even though my grandpa with to OSU i will never root for them and hope the never win in any sport. BEAR DOWN and GO BLUE!!!!
I don't know what "BEAR DOWN" means....
I look forward to the game.
I just have never seen anyone else come into the room named Woody Hayes. It gave me a moment to enjoy an old thought.
I think we do have decent football coach with the ability to recruit well and he he seems to be a very good teacher. We will know for sure in a couple of years. Invite us back. I'd love to watch another game in the Horseshoe.
This is going to be a good game. OSU played well today. We got a couple of easy draws. Arizona seems to have come back to the level of play they had a couple of months ago when we were beating teams like Florida and Miami. Our advantage is our depth. Your advantage seem to be Craft and Thomas. Best defense wins.
what's your Point Guard situation?
I've heard it wasn't the best. What's your opinion?
When Lyons is scoring, he is a handful and he has just had two very good games. He will be passed to as often as he passes and he will hit 3's. We have more of a point guard by committee. We have three guards that can handle the ball and a wing that can as well. If you don't have 5 guys who will play 40 minutes of defense, it will be a long day. We have 3 guys 6'9 or taller and all are good rebounders. The bench gives us a total of 9 players of which 4 will play in the paint, but two can shoot three's. Our 7 footer is a freshman about McGary's size from Michigan, a little slower, but stronger as well. We don't win when our shots aren't falling, but if not, it becomes a very physical game.
Having seen you play 3 times only, I expect this will be a very physical game with lots of movement in the half court.
As a duck who lives in Detroit, I really try not to generalize on fanbases, because I've met nice people from most.
But in general--buckeyes and penn state people are the worst.
Also--I was disappointed to see zero discussion on the ducks over here. Zona and Oregon repp'n the pac and making the nation and comittee look like fools.
Yay for us.
Yeah, you are correct.
A couple of open threads need to get started.
"Arizona Welcomes the Buckeyes to Neutral Site LA" (winner moves on to Final Four)
"Arizona Hopes Like Hell that Oregon Beats Louisville" (Winner of Arizona and Oregon moves on to Semi-Finals)
Don't worry die yankees die, we have got your back.

What I like about that side of the bracket is that:
A: its been predictable
B: Arizona has a lot of history with all the teams in the running. Which should make a great FF match-up.
Ducks have my support in this.
Oregon looks great - that was buried in pone my posts but clearly was not enough. I love the way they are playing and it would be great for the P12 and the program at Oregon to beat Loserville. We are with you 99%, there is a guy her called 'Beat Oregon' who is a great poster, and we cannot ask him to re-write his DNA, just like we would not ask you to root for the Yankees.
Matta has a great program there - you guys are lucky to have him and I think you'd find most of us here have respect for The Ohio State University. I, for one, do not think the Big 10 is over rated and it is a hollow comfort to say that our bottom 1/2 is way better than your bottom 1/2 (which it is) when the top 4 or 5 teams in B10 are better than whoever our top team happens to be at any given moment.
I think the game comes down to 1 simple thing - which ever team has the hot shooting hand is going to win. From what I have read, the knock on both teams is inconsistent offense. Our D has been much better than out reputation the past several games - I don't think defense will be a problem for either team. Knocking down open shots will be key for both. As simplistic as that sounds, IMO, it's a matter of who's got the hot hand. '
Here's to a well fought, honorable, honestly officiated game. May the best team win.
"Arizona has no tradition" - Bill Walsh
"We have a tradition of kicking Bill Walsh's ass" - Teddy Bruschi
aOSU is an enigma. This is the team that started the year 1-7 against ranked teams.
Then they got hot and I was concerned. But then they barely squeaked by Iowa State.
I think you'll handle them. I have Zona in the FF.
It's the only thing that can save my bracket. But I'd be rooting for you guys regardless.
