Cats advanced to the 1994 Final Four by wearing red and winning in Los Angeles.
Editor-In-Chief of Wildcat Sport Report and co-host of the Arizona football and basketball pre and postgame shows on 1490 and 104.9.
From the AZ Star link:
“They’re a great defensive team, and it all starts with Aaron Craft,” Miller said. “If he’s not one of your favorite players, then you don’t like college basketball. He has that, like, Tim Tebow quality. It wasn’t just his performance on the field but who he was as a person, the gift that he provided, the competitive spirit that he embodied. Aaron Craft does the same thing with his defense and competitive fire”
That is one astute observation from Miller. Probably the most exciting item on this match-up is if the Cat's can "out-Tebow" the presence that Craft brings to the game. I was impressed by his performance in last year's tournament and I'm dead certain he will be the "esoteric obstacle" to overcome if the Cats are going to make a run.
I seem to recall a guy named Geary doing something like that.... 1/2 of those games were over before they even started.
Parrom is that guy for us this year.
"Arizona has no tradition" - Bill Walsh
"We have a tradition of kicking Bill Walsh's ass" - Teddy Bruschi
We didn't get the best two games from Parrom in the first round, but we absolutely need him to bring it against OSU to have a chance of beating them. When he is hitting his 3's and rebounding, it fuels the rest of the team.
Good observation RoundCat... Not just KP but as a team the Cats need to be quick to the ball... Rebounds and loose balls... if we use our quickness and are aggressive we will prevail...
BEAR DOWN boys... The best is yet to come....
I have to agree.
Parrom can chip teeth while doing absolutly nothing wrong.
The guy is a walking karma bag. You never know what you are going to get next.
But to the point, this will have to be a team effort. If Craft becomes the team-slayer that he is capable of, it will be on the heads of the Wildcat players that didn't reach for their "Inner-Tebow".
P.S. Remind me not to write "esoteric" in any future comments.
Parrom does tons of little things that do not show up in the stats. I also think that when we absolutely have to score, he's the one guy who definitely will and do so from anywhere.
Honestly, Parrom has not played elite level defense in a long time. He has gone from sub-par to above average over the past few months, but is not the lockdown guy he once was. He is a great "little things" guy, but has really been up and down for much of the year.
Ever since he became a stater.....he needs to come off the bench...ala TERRY
