Agreed. This is not going to be a blowout...at least nothing on paper gives any indication of that. I have admired Thomas since last years tourney run. If Arizona can somehow slow him done Arizona will win. I think Arizona can still win with Lyons having an off night. I think Arizona wins by 5-10 but that will be due to ft's to ice it.
So all those adjustments at half time allowed to to rebound evenly with a team who's biggest player is 6'7" that is impressive -14 rebounding for the game. Congradulations. Now your are playing a team on Thursday that has one 7 footer and three 6'10" or taller guys that are very athletic that rebounds well. Your not getting to the boards this game it is about if Ohio St can make everything they throw up or not because you will be out rebounded by a lot more than Iowa St. The Big Ten might have ESPN fooled like the Big East the past few years and not getting people out of the Sweet 16. Where you are placed is irrelevant Oregon was ranked 12 and are crushing teams ahead of them. If the Eastern Sports Promotional Network covered the Pac 12 like they did the Big Ten Arizona would be a 3 seed at least and Oregon would be much higher. This game for you does come down to Thomas if he can beat a drastically more talented team that is more tested from the season.
That's a reasonable prediction. What killed OSU last year in the Final Four against Kansas was Deshaun getting in foul trouble. If this game is called tight it will definitely favor Zona because OSU likes to play tight on ball defense and Craft gets away with a lot in the Big Ten. Craft or Deshaun in foul trouble is something OSU has not really had to face much this year. Idk that OSU can beat Zona with either one sitting for 10 plus minutes in the game.
Haha idk what you're problem is mane, but you seem to have a little hostility in you. Funny hearing other fan bases complain on the ESPN because most Big Ten fans feel the network hates the Big Ten because of the Big Ten Network with Fox but whatever.
I guess you missed the part where I talked about most of the rebounds being longer rebounds that are harder to get to for the defense. Iowa State is actually a very good rebounding team because of that averaging almost 39 a game which is more than Arizona (36) and OSU (35). So congrats you're averaging one more board a game than us. From what I've heard you guys say your 7 footer has bricks for hands anyway.
Exactly. I really hope officiating doesn't play a big role in this game... but on the flip side I don't want it to become a hack-a-thon either. If it does then Arizona is screwed because Pac-12 officials never call games consistent enough for a game to be called fairly yet let players play aggressively. If the refs do let things go I'm not sure Arizona will know what to do with that.
Only bricks for hands on passes. He is a very good rebounder.
Looks like we keep fooling them! Well I believe you were wrong on all counts, and if you read my comments I was right, tight game last second shot, fun game, congrats to zona's, they are a great young team
you really are a slimy wet puss... Get some real refs and you are toast... any one who runs over here to act like an ass is obviously one of the ugly hags in the avatar... Sucks to be from ohio...

BEAR DOWN boys... The best is yet to come....
Which one are you the one on the skank on the right or the left?
Yes. Vastly superior to Ohio State but not good enough to beat the three refs. Jump ball with Hill? But that was just one of many. Horrible, horrible officiating.
I hope you guys don't believe your own BS because you are not very good without officiating.
"Arizona has no tradition" - Bill Walsh
"We have a tradition of kicking Bill Walsh's ass" - Teddy Bruschi
You nailed that.
I had a thread on the Blue Board not long ago...talking how we we set the NCAA record for most wins with the help of the Refs... good game bruh... Miller has your program going right...
Just curious, but are you mad at the bad calls that just went against Arizona? I seen a lot of bad calls go against Ohio State too. Anyway, instead of being mad at the ref's you should be excited about Arizona basketball next year. Miller has your program going in the right direction.
Wow what a bunch of posers... ohio must be worse than I thought....
Not from ohio, but thanks anyways, love the personal attacks, very classy, and I'm sure you are a male super model! Just came on here to congratulate zona, I have watched them about 6 times this year and just had a feeling it would come down to a last second shot, I thought dark hands analysis was way off base and now the facts are in!
It was an awesome game. Congrats on a great run zona.

What calls went against OSU? At one point in the second 1/2 you had attempted 14 foul shots and we had attempted 2.
Do you really think the jump ball call with five minutes or so left was legit?
Do you really think Ross fouled you for the tying 3pt play? Watch the replay and take off your blue glasses. OSU was much more aggressive in the 2nd half attacking the rim, and not getting the calls, while when you attacked you were rewarded with any sort of contact with a foul call! In the end it is what your coach said at halftime, when we turn the ball over we are terrible, that is what cost you the game, not the refs! Games like that are not fun to lose I get that, Zona is a fun team to watch and you have a great coach who is only going to have that team get better.
Do you really think that jump ball call cost you the game? Seriously?
Bad calls both ways. But if you put someone on a 6'8 shooter at the end of the game he should be more than 6'1.
The last play was defended pretty well, Ross just hit a clutch shot, so kudos to him. Craft was guarded by Johnson who is 6'2" and Jerrett was guarding Ross and he is 6'9".
Obviously the switch presented some problems and if a guy is going to beat you with a shot from 25 feet, those are pretty good odds.

Great game though. I think if you guys can keep your youngsters in school and not leaving for the league you will definitely be a top 3 to 5 team going forward. I love your roster although a couple of taller off guards in the 6'4 6'5 range wouldn't hurt.
I have a ton of respect for AZ basketball. Miller will have them in the final 4 soon. This was the type of game that makes the tourney great. Good luck next season.
