Momo, New Mexico, and Pittsburgh all in our West Region.............I do not think we will see Momo much but have reason to suspect that a few stories may come full circle.
One game at a time. First up Belmont. Bear Down.
The 1/2 of the Western bracket we are in does not look or seem impossible. I cannot recall ever looking at the brackets and thinking anything other than we got one of if not the toughest regionals. This year someone either selected it randomly and fairly and or took pity on us.
"Arizona has no tradition" - Bill Walsh
"We have a tradition of kicking Bill Walsh's ass" - Teddy Bruschi
You may feel that Pascoe feels the same way:
Ohio State in the west as well, lots of story lines.
No doubt Ohio State looms also, but what I meant to point out are the UofA connections that abound. Momo obviously for his play his first two years in college which I will always be thankful for. New Mexico because of the old rivalry and animosity via the fanbases, and Pitt because it is Sean's old stomping ground.
But again Belmont is up first and I do not discount them.
WOW And Double WOW with Bruces article. If I am any other team in the PAC that moved out East...etc.... .........I really hate AZ
YES!!!! Now take care of business and dont let Lyons get the 3 fever along with Belmont.
Personally I think the hardest team we will face is New Mexico. Ohio St seems like a good match up weak down low one good player.
I'm with you DarkHand... I think we will handle Belmont and then it is N M.... That is a trap game for us even though they are seeded higher...
BEAR DOWN boys... The best is yet to come....
UNM in round 2 has a lot of appeal around here. Lots of smack talk already going back and forth with a couple Lobos I know. Gotta get by Belmont though, which I think they will.
Time to nut up or shut up
Don't know if this has been mentioned but didn't Thad Mata and Miller coach together?
Holy Crap, that must have been what Liver was pointing out, I forgot about that...........whooa.
Miller's next move up the coaching ladder was a return to southwestern Ohio in 2001. This time he would join Thad Matta's staff at Xavier as the first associate head coach in the school's history. The Musketeers won 26 games in each of Miller's three seasons under Matta, making the NCAA tournament each season. The 2004 season was especially notable. First, the Musketeers won the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament despite having to play four games to do so. Xavier then made a deep run in the subsequent NCAA tournament, finishing with the school's first-ever appearance in the Elite Eight.
