Love him or hate him Joe Lunardi has Arizona earning a higher NCAA seed than UCLA next season. Granted, not by much but it looks like he would pick Arizona winning conference based on seed and Region.

It seemed like after the season ended, Stanford was getting a lot of hype about being the top dog in the conference to start next season. Now that recruiting season has picked up, it looks like UofA and UCLA are back to getting top billing. Either way, it'll be good to have some (potentially) good teams in the Pac-12 conference next season. This past year was sooo bad. And honestly, if I weren't a UofA fan, I would have changed the channel during a lot of our games. We played such a low quality level of basketball last year. It'll be nice to be good again. Should be entertaining again as well.

He does in fact have us winning the conference next year. Saw it in one of his chats. Way too early too tell but still, something to talk about in the offseason.
Time to nut up or shut up
I've spent some time lurking on the ESPN comment thread.
I've seen nothing to suggest outrage or mention that Stanford was left off the bracket. Isn't there some recent statistics that show the NIT champion almost always makes the NCAA tournament? People are sleeping on this team.
Arizona. Wow, the expectations are huge. In my mind, we really only have Hill as our non-injury plagued veteran. The rest is a huge question mark for me.
Stanford is included in the bracket. 4 Pac teams with Oregon lurking as well. Of course this means nothing right now but SU is in with a higher seed then Cal.
You are correct sir.
I saw that line and figured they were only counting Cal as the playin game. Five entrants sounds about right to me, though I would switch Cal with the Huskies. Of course, betting against Montgomery could be a bad move....

I agree on the quality of play. As a basketball junkie who loves the X's and O's more than watching the ball go through the hoop, last year was by far the worst level of play and execution I've seen in the Pac-12. I can't ever remember the conference being as bad as it was top to bottom. That said, Washington should have made the NCAA Tournament.
The Conference, as a whole, really recruited and signed well for 2012. The hope now is these young freshman start contributing right away and help to round out the conference. We're on thin ice in 2012-13 to repeat the horror of 2011-12 if the incoming freshman don't mesh with the upperclassmen throughout the Pac-12. If they do, though, we should see some pretty dramatic improvement among league teams this year.
Frosh need to mesh, contribute AND STAY MORE THAN 1 YEAR!
