  • Enis Fellah....

We struggled that season and as I recall did no have very good record going into that OSU game. There was talk about missing the tournament or not finishing in the top 1/2 of the pac-10 and that game was about mid point.

The starters looked about like we did this year int he NIT - deflated, tired, uninterested and a we got down in that game. Lute put Fellah in and he was a man possessed, immediately got a steal and made a couple of key plays, sparked the crowd, the other players and the season almost pivoted on that one game.

I heard Lute speak about that very subject a year r two later at the annual pre-season lunch and when he was asked about Fellah and he said something about how that changed everything for that team.

Good post. That is indeed one true value a walk on that actually sees the floor from time to time can bring to the table. Guys like David Bagga, even Josh Pastner, are always the fan favorites and in those rare moments when a coach has had it with his normal rotation and springs in a walk on to try and light a fire turns into an incredible bonfire if the kid delivers.

I wouldn't bet on it happening, but if it does we'll all be happy we got to witness such an event.
