Jordan Brand Classic

  • Live Saturday on ESPN at 4 p.m. PDT.

Tarczewski is on the east squad and will get an opportunity to hopefully match up with Baylor commit Isaiah Austin and possibly bang against undecided top 10 recruit Anthony Bennett.

  • Brandon Ashley will play for the West against Zeus' east club. Ashley might get an early look at a future rivalry with PF Tony Parker who's eyeing UCLA and playing for the East squad.

    Is he? My bad. explode

What will be interesting to see is I remember last year's Jordan game and the players really didn't have anything to prove individually and unlike the McDonald's game which is always a train wreck when it comes to fundamentals, the Jordan game had more structure, passing and better shot selection.

  • No defense...... Kaleb looked damn good..agressive, places himself in great position. reat sense of where he needs to be on the court. ove his meannstreak. Ashley, slower then usual..but havveent seen 2 nd half yet. Nels is all they say. Tall, fast and a damn blocing machine. Shabazz...

  • Zeus was a lot quicker than I thought he'd be. Ashley was no where near as good as I thought he'd be. Grant Jarrett was solid and I think he'll be a good one. Kaleb and Grant are going to be able to contribute from day one. Not so sure about Brandon Ashley. He looked slow and really uncoordinated. Couldn't dribble, and he had a hard time gathering himself once he got in the paint. Couldn't slash to the hoop to save his life. Didn't look good. He's got some work to do just to crack into the rotation... and that's not good considering we only have 9 scholarship guys available to play next year.

Still can't get over how quick and athletic Kaleb Tarczewski looked. He's gonna be really good.

  • I really liked the way Tarc played, he has a "go an get it" mentality. We havn't had a guy like that since Eugene. And he is far more skilled than him. Promising.

  • Please abstain from calling him Tarc as he does not like being called that and much prefers Zeus. First the C is sounded like a Z . Lets call him Zeus as he prefers.

Jim PS Tark was a hated enemy.

  • Zues and Jerrett Looked awesome today. It was good to see Zues beat IAustin and Jerrett held his own drawing what looked like 2 fouls on Noel early.

  • I also was disappointed in Ashley's performance, but liked that three times he made very accurate pin-point passes on the break on the run. I like that from a big should Miller choose to run in the future.
