i completely agree 7 games is an absolute joke and does not send any message to anyone about how serious they are. The fact that he deliberately elbowed a opposing player in the neck/head and was only suspended 7 games is ridiculous. The NBA has screwed this one up big time.

James Harden is a sun devil. I'm sure that played into the leagues decision on how long to suspend Ronny. If James had been an actual person, I'm thinking MWP is gone for the year.

7 games is a travesty of justice. Then again the NBA let Shaq plot his attack on Ostertag 15 years ago and gave him a nickel fine and a day off for bad behavior.

The NBA fined Shaquille O'Neal (LAL) $10,000 and suspended him for 1 game
for hitting Greg Ostertag (Uta) prior to Friday's Uta-LAL game.

Speaking of Harden...

Since there was no video of the Shaq incident we have no idea which was more vicious. However, we do know that Shaq's was premeditated, which means he should have done jail time.

I agree that the ban should have been much longer, but did predict that the bare minimum should be holding him out through the first round of the playoff. Barring Lakers going to 7 games in opening round, he's been banned for the first round and perhaps a game or two in the second round. I guess the NBA gave him the bare minimum, which is incredibly strange for a repeat offender.

As we all know, the Lakers are the Duke Blue Devils of the NBA. Had MWP been a New Jersey Net he may have been arrested and deported to Siberia.
