Sorry, I see the confusion, but I did not mean to imply that I thought it was bad. I agree with Liver:
"I gotta say that if this goes down big props to Miller. Team didn't meet expecations and he cleans house, that will certianly get everyones attention that Miller is not screwing around here."
But I think it has less to do with cleaning house and more to do with being desperate for viable contributors. As I understand it Miller can't really work his system until he goes 9 or 10 high quality scholarship athletes deep and he's only got 4 proven players returning. Mayes, Johnson, Hill and Parrom. So he needs to find 5 or 6 guys who can contribute immediately at a high level and, IMO, while Juco's and transfers may have less long term upside, they can offer rock solid, high quality play immediately plus leadership, guile and mental toughness and they can mentor the younger kids.
I commend Miller for taking that route and don't think he really had much of a choice if he wanted to keep his job. I'm still not gonna let him off the hook for the unforgivable, unnecessary and disastrous ASU loss - but it is clear to me that he is not letting himself off the hook either and it will be fun to watch it all come together.
