  • I had a shoulder injury that an orthopedic surgeon sent me to Pro Active Fitness to work with the training staff there.

Around the first of June I had my first session and was surprised to see Alex in a training and agility session. I joked with my trainer that he got stuck with me while one of his fellow therapists got to work with a basketball player.

From the write up it is obvious that he had some issues that were never addressed while he was in school. You can't teach size, and somewhere in Europe there is a need for a seven footer who can set picks, pass, rebound and occasionally score. When Jordan played in his prime Chicago had a rotation of 2 or 3 7 footers who weren't all hat great, but all hey had to do was complement, not dominate.

Remember Rob Gronkowski's back that could never get fixed at Arizona? Now he's the best tight end in the NFL since Gonzalez. Pro teams, even those in Siberia, know how to treat and heal athletes. And like Steve says above, you can't teach 7-feet, 250 pounds.

  • If Andrew Zahn can play pro ball after leaving Arizona and having a mediocre career at a D3 school, then antonella can.

Good point. I can't remember the statistic, but it's something unbelievable like 96% of guys who played at Arizona went on to professional careers somewhere in the world. At one point, the only guy who didn't play professionally was Josh Pastner and all he did was become an assistant coach at a major D1 program (Arizona).

  • Reading between Pascoe's lines, seems he's giving Jacobsen a professional courtesy.

He's attempting to position him as a prospect with no health problems any longer.

Honestly, I feel sad for AJ. It must be nightmarish living life as tall as he is and not being wealthy.

  • I'm rooting for him 100%

would have been great if he had had some help while at Arizona... maybe it was the wrong time in the program, but AZ needs to take care of it's athletes.

  • It would be nice to improve our sports medicine program's integration with the athletic department. It would be great to have a reputation at the college level similar to the reputation the Suns have in the NBA. Honestly, I'm shocked grant hill would leave them simply because of their medical expertise.
