  • You're saying the staff was distracted from one of its primary roles, keeping players focused.

I hope they aren't overthinking this or being too critical of themselves because as you say, winning 23 games with this team was an achievement.

I think it is as simple as having most starters playing out of position, not having a center, not having anyone who could create a shot (no go to guy), a shooting guard who couldn't, an overrated, non productive, non compliant point guard and all the injuries.

It was just a perfect storm of problems that had nothing to do with coaching philosophy or teaching. They may have done all of those things and still ended with the same results.

  • Time to rewrite the article with the point guard by committee approach. I think Miller should take Parrom aside, and teach him everything there is to know about playing the point. He has the handles and court vision but needs some direction. Anything is better than the way Nick and Jordin played at point this year.

  • It's frustrating and very rare to have your starting point guard transfer from the school 2 years in a row. Fortunately, I think both players could've eventually caused more harm than good at the school. I look forward to moving on with a team of players that want to be a part of a team concept focused on winning and not individual accomplishments. I think that's what we have now.

Momo, for all his style and flare, was very committed to winning. We're definitely not better off without him.

Momo wanting to be close to an ill family member and Josiah's issues are two incredibly different situations. Comparing the 2 is like comparing Tempe Normal to Harvard or comparing Roseanne Barr to Jennifer Love Hewitt.
