TJ to Arizona?

  • Just had this article sent to me.

    UVa target picks Arizona | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com

Point guard T.J. McConnell, who played at Duquesne for the past two seasons and was the Atlantic-10 Freshman of the Year in 2010-2011, will transfer to Arizona after narrowing his choice to the Wildcats and Virginia, the only two programs he visited.

  • Yes he is officially committed. We are lucky as PGU almost cost us this recruit becauuse they indicated he committed this weekend when he had not and the McConnells got upset. If you goto PGU please stop they v ery harmful to our athletic programs.

  • I could start posting over there as 'Misspussycatman' or 'WhassamatterU' and just be a total jerk... that killed more than one board....

  • Jim, i know PGU is very very shady. They act better then everyone else but in truth UofA hates them. Has asked them to stop as they are harming the Cats and I can see it getting to the point of maybe some scantions if they continue where they are going. I used to go there but heard the rumors from people so i stopped. I will let the person know who has sent me the info over the weekend that if he is goign to PGU to stop as well. Well being of the program is 10x better in my opinion then any inside info.

I want to thank Gary and company for being on the up and up and not posting things just to get people to the site. Seems to me like they could just post to post but they would rather have facts or more then one source to confirm info before putting it out there.

  • And the moniker "PGU" is well deserved because of AZ....however, that said, we havent had a very good PG in Long time. JG was awesome, Wise as well. But the golden child and now Turner have cause us to slip in the eyes of the nation as PGU. Lets hope he can bring some glory back to that name.
Yes the site PGU is a bunch of idiots..quoting a lot of lies and copying articles from other sites. Shady to say the least. havent been there in years...do not intend on wasting my time.

  • Actually the real WMU passed away a few years back.

We knew McConnell had a very good shot at winding up at Zona. Gary said it several times, but he did not commit when that report first surfaced and we would not run anything we could not confirm.

I'll have an update at some point today. I had an extended conversation with a source familiar with the UA program and there's some really interesting news surrounding the "whole" program that I'll share.

Glad McConnell's on board. As I've said in previous posts, this commit makes a ton of sense. Still nothing official, though, on his verbal from the University.

  • As for other sites, let's not bash anyone here please. Everyone's just doing the job the best they can. Brad and I respect the fact that many of you come here to get the story behind the story so thank you. That said, there's value in visiting as many sources of information as possible to get different perspectives.
