  • Turner appears to be in a steep tailspin. I can imagine the St. John's and Missouri intrests greatly diminishing.

At this rate, what's the over/under on him living in the streets homeless?

    8 years?

  • Does each subsequent event in Turner's life make Johnson and Chol seem that much more sedate?

    What a shame.

  • It makes you appreciate the strong support that Johnson and Chol have from family and/or coaches. Chol's background in moving to America give him an appreciation of what hardwork can bring him. Between his parents, and seeing what his uncle did as a player/coach before he passed, Nick knows what it takes to succeed in this sport.

I don't really know Turner's mom, but her quotes during the whole high school transfer saga were telling.

  • Wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured this thread will work. I looks like Terrell Stoglin was suspended from Maryland, though he declared for the NBA draft.

The popular rumor on the ESPN comment board concerning Stoglin was a failed drug test. smoke

DUIs are no laughing matter in the State of Arizona.

  • This item from Jeff Goodman indicates that Turner will be visiting SMU where Larry Brown just landed the HC job there.

This item, from Steve RIvera, notes part of Turner's DUI stop from the police report:

“Turner just kept stating that he was driving his bro’s car and he just wanted to park it and get back to his dorm,” an officer’s statement said, adding that Turner was “very unsteady and unable to give clear and concise answers.”

Sounds like you're holding a hand full of Ace's there.

No laughing matter anywhere. I sell alcohol and still think we are too tolerant of DUI's in our society. There is absolutely no good excuse, ever.

I agree 100%. People try to make light of them, but they're serious offenses. You're risking other peoples' lives when you drink and drive. Its totally not cool.

  • If convicted he faces 30 days in jail. Sounds about right.
