Thornton discusses Arizona visit

  • http://arizona.247sports.com/Article/Thornton-discusses-Arizona-visit-83781

    WSR spent most of Saturday watching basketball with enigmatic 2016 point guard Derryck Thornton, Jr., talking about today's stars, his recent UA visit, and hoops future.

  • "Thornton does need to work on his outside shot, which is far from imperfect."

    Gary, did you mean to say imperfect or perfect? Just wondering. Good article. Thank you.

  • I am sure he meant perfect. Probably wrote it a few different ways and left a little of each. I know I do that far too often.

  • His shot is fine, but should improve as he develops physically. He tends to push the ball on deeper attempts.

  • Can't remember if I said this anywhere but he's already been invited to play Adidas Nations next season. WSR will be along for his ride the next 4 years with solid sources.

  • “They’re all going to get seen and Derryck has to remain humble and stay focused so that they stay focused and don’t get distracted by any attention he’s getting."

    His dad's statement says a lot. If he's serious, he is setting his son up to be a great person... regardless of basketball.

    Definitely, his dad is well prepared for this, which means Derryck Jr. should be equally prepared.

  • Actually its half way there. Not peerfect but not imperfect. So you can say it both way. That said...I guess he is inbetween perfect and not so erfect, or Not perfect but inside the other thing. :}}

    Agreed, I'm just not convinced that he knows what that is.
