  • I would probably switch the top 2 around... but other than that, I think Eamonn did a pretty good job here. Its nice that we're still included in the top schools. I'd definitely put us there. But I didn't really think non-cat fans would have. I'm sure the people at the Univ of Florida and UConn would argue otherwise though.

  • I'm thinking the total lack of a recruiting base in the desert is the only thing that pushed AZ all the way to 10.

  • It's great to see us ahead of UConn and MSU especially. UT and UF are still football schools first and foremost.

True. It's also hard to argue against the schools ahead of us on the list. All are loooooooong time basketball staples in the college hoops world. Miller, with a good run of success on top of the incredible Lute Olson run could one day make Arizona one of those landmark basketball institutions.

  • I would argue with two, UCLA and Kentucky - those are the worst two on the entire list, by far.

First of all, compared to Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, Syracuse, Arizona... they are revolving doors. A single losing season or lack luster couple of seasons and the coach is (literally) burned in effigy and run out of town in disgrace. What UCLA fans did to Steve Lavin is inexcusable and makes the UCLA job one of the most volatile and pensive in the business. I think you'd have to be an idiot to take that job. If they did that to Lavin, who had far more success at UCLA in his first three years than Miller has had at Arizona, imagine what they'd do to Miller.

Kentucky is the most crooked, corrupted and un ethical program on the list. How many coaches have they had in the last twenty years? At least 4 or 5 I can think of. If Sean Miller had been offered and gone to Kentucky and not paid off all those recruits and had the identical record he's had at Arizona, he would have been run out of town in disgrace. He'd be coaching at some junior college somewhere and we'd be arguing about how many more years it would take Tim Floyd to get us to the NCAA's and all of you would be pissed at me for wanting him fired.
