Jim's point is valid too. To think that a JC transfer is going to make an immediate impact is a stretch. Sure, Perry proved more than useful but Perry was also the POY in his region as a collegian. Like any other play, Korcheck was seeking a situation that would help him improve as a player and redshirting was something he was seeking for himself.
