Wroten found this amusing

  • His quotes from the Star.
Nothing made Washington's sellout crowd louder Saturday than went Husky wing Tony Wroten Jr. skirted down the baseline and threw in a one-handed jam over Arizona's Angelo Chol in the second half.
Afterward, the video screens proclaimed it the "T-Wro Show," and Wroten said he thought of how Chol nearly became a Husky before committing to UA a year ago.
"It was just funny because it was Chol, you know," Wroten said. "He wanted to come here and didn't, and I got him."

Did Romar really tell Chol NO?

  • well folks. I guarantee you, next year will be a blow out. e will kill them. UW...the new hated Ucla

  • No, Chol really liked UW for awhile but moved on to UA and UNC. The Huskies really wanted him. BTW, while Wroten totally posterized Chol, Chol came over to help and came over late, it wasn't like he was guarding Wroten. Unfortunately, it was Nick who was guarding him, and once he got burned, he gave up on the play.

  • Wow, I guess when you walk the walk you can talk the talk.

As for Chol and UW, Brad's right. Chol's high school coach Ollie Goulston is good friends with Lorenzo Romar and at the time of Chol's decision, Goulston said that was a tough phone call to make having to tell Romar that Chol was heading to Arizona.

  • Yeah Nick was gaurding him but at about mid court Wroton gave him a forearm to the neck. Thus knocking Nick off him and giving him the room to go to the basket. So i do not blame Nick to much.

  • I agree CIC. Wroten used his forearm non stop yesterday to gain separation. I don't think it got called one time either. I have seen way less than that called pretty consistently this year. Not to mention on the D side of the ball, he was constantly hand checking and slapping at our players. One time he grabbed Fogg with both hands around the waist as Fogg went by him the ball. Of course none of it was called. Hell of a player, but definitely had the refs in his back pocket yesterday.

  • Amazing what they got away with, but we know the refs won't call everything or it would have been a 3 hour game and we would have won. What a shame to play BB that way. They aren't talented enough to stop a good team.....so they beat you up every play. Classy for our guys to keep their poise.
