Arizona vs. St. Johns - Site 2 Game 2

I like their commentary but I think they need to put a cork into the whole "Arizona doesn't need to let the pressure get to them" with a Johnnie on third.
We have played with poise in my opinion.
As I write this St. Johns gets an sacrifice RBI ro make it 6-3 with 2 outs bottom of the seventh.
Analysts going after Wade for consecutive balls. 71 pitches for Wade. Arizona gets the third out and we go to the top of the eighth.

One hopper to third, Cats go for out not prevent the run(which is the right decision). Inning over cats lead 6-3.

Interesting conversation.
Lopez was apparently considering moving the fences in but later liked the offensive talent to maybe not consider the idea.
My take:
Leave the fences where they are. Playing at a stadium built to train MLB players is just the right selling point for Arizona recruitment in the future. If it robs the team of a few HRs...so be it.
Cats with two on - second and first with two outs and there is a pitching change.

Connor Wade comes out in the 8th and strikes out the first batter. Then St Johns grounds out to 1st. Then St Johns pops to third and now off to the 9th!

This is awesome!
Seth Mejias-Brean grabs the third out to send us to top nine.
Apparently they are still selling tickets and people are still filtering in. Not a bad place to be "when" we pull this off.
Weather is pretty nice too. Nothing like yesterday afternoon.

Agreed, a great performance overall. No need for a bullpen. They have only used 1 pitcher from the pen because of how good the pitching has been lately.

Okay pro's, I have a question.
How likely is it that we face FSU in the CWS just because we are that side of the bracket. FSU plastered Stanford yesterday 17-1.
Do any of you or readers know the mechanism that determines placement in the CWS?

AZ trying to get some insurance and leads off inning with a single. Riley Moore lays a bunt and advances the runner. Lopez still playing for runs. I like that, not taking anything for granted!
