I hate the sixth inning.
FSU ties it up 3-3 with two outs.

FSU with a 2 run line drive to tie the game 3-3. it is now the bottom of the 6th.

And we are out of the inning and going into the seventh inning stretch.
There will be some controversy about the throw from Meijas Brean to first and did Dixon lift his foot off the bag. I don't like it but in a system that lacks replay the ump can only do so much.
The way to respond is to get the hits.

Field draws the walk and not my HAHAHA.
The person that is drawing my laughter is this FSU reliever Gage Smith and his "stache".
This guy reminds me of someone famous, just not sure who.

Cats leave two stranded from the heart of the order and an leave an opportunity on the table.
Bottom seven - still tied.
Lets see if Heyer comes to mound with his 100 plus pitch count. My guess is yes.

Still tied at 3-3 heading to the eighth.
Heyer pitched well on that inning and I think we can maybe start discussing CG. Heyer's pitch count roof is 120 and he is pretty close to that.
Really not sure which way Lopez will go and we need to get the run support in. Period.

Man...the umps are robbing us on these pitches from Scantling on the corners. I could get called strikes with that zone.
Nontheless - Cats go three up and three down.
This is really starting to bother me because we can play with this team - that much is obvious. The batters need to start rallying around each other and believing in each other.
Bottom 8 and Heyer remains in with 121 pitches - his roof is 130 (correction). 3-3.

Wow - Lopez pulls Heyer after 128 pitches and 2 outs. Eight and two thirds innings.
Heyer didn't look to happy.
I'm a little shocked. I realize you need to save your ace for further games, but I would have been really tempted to see the CG.

Riley Moore is being the man today.
3 for 4 tonight and bringing the energy. He is sitting on first with no outs.
We have been sac bunting in this situation. Gilbert as done this before.
Mike Martin coming out to pull his pitcher. I don't mind, the home plate ump couldn't make up his mind on the strike zone. Benincasa is the reliever with a 1.25 season ERA (ack!!).

Cats catch a break on next batter though as a passed ball advances the runner to second base. Richardt then strikes out, so go ahead run on 2nd and Johnny Field at the plate with two outs.

Field nipped on a bang-bang play at first to end the top of the 9th. FSU a chance to win in the bottom of the inning.

Awesome job Crawford.
Lopez is playing chess right now with first settling his pitcher and the defense and then making the pitching change. Crawford goes out of the game. I'm going to miss his hook...wow.
