Join the chat thread for updates and commentary as Arizona goes for the Pac 12 title!
I popped for the stream on Arizona Athletics, so I'll be able to offer commentary as I see it.
This will be a good opportunity to view the roster and warm-up for a potential NCAA title.
This game will have a lot of implications as the Cats look to win or share the Pac 12 title outright. ASU has won their last 10 of 12 and will not be playing the post-season due to NCAA sanctions. The Scumm...Devils...will have nothing to lose in today's game and will look to play the spoiler while chasing their own rights to the Pac 12 title.
ESPN will announce the site regionals around 12:30 PM PDT. Arizona should be in a good position to be a candidate due to attendance and overall standing in the Pac. The one knock against Arizona is that a large majority of the selection committee has never attended a game at Hi Corbett.
Their loss and would that needs to be remedied. The only possible setback that I can see in not receiving a NCAA site regional bid would be potentially political, in that we serve beer as part of our concession lineup. In fact, the first site to greet you when entering the gate is the golden throne of 32 oz beer and ballpark peanuts. A wondrous site to behold to be sure. Is it too much over the top for the NCAA? We shall see...

Very...very...quick three up and three down to lead off the top of the first for the Devils. James Farris pitching for the Cats.
Cats head to the bottom of the first. 0-0 in this third game of the Territorial Cup Series.

Joey Rickard with the first hit of the game for Arizona to lead off the bottom of the second. Rickard on first with the zero outs in the bottom of the first. Rickard trying to steal second and forcing the ASU pitcher, Alex Balckford, to throw over to first often.
EDIT: Rickard reached second on a steal but was thrown out at third on a Johnny field groundball.

Exciting game so far.
Field brings AZ to 1-0 on a play at the plate off a Robert Refsnyder liner to right field.
Errors all over the place for ASU.

Scumm...Devils already have people in the bullpen warming up for Blackford.
Still bottom of the first.
4-0 on another play at the plate.
This is some great stuff right now.
Blackford is done for the day after a third of an inning.

Bases Juiced....AND GUESS WHAT!!!
Arizona hosts the regional next weekend.
Just plain best game of the year right now.
Head to the top of the second. Cats batted around the order and Rickard hit short chopper to the SS to end the inning with bases loaded.
ASU threatened with runners on third and first before Farris was able to get a called check-swing to end the Devils drive.
Bottom of two.
General Admission tickets go on sale at 1:00 PM

Just caught up with Game tracker...WTG CATS,,keep it up
No reason to pull Farris as the Wildcat bullpen was warming up. Farris records his second KO to end the inning and Cats still lead 7-1 going to the bottom of the fifth.
USC just went up 2-0 on UCLA.
Seth Mejias-Brean with a wild hit off the pitcher to make it a stand-up double.
Bobby Brown, who has been rolling today, grounds one out to third for the Wildcat's first out.
Seth Mejias-Brean caught in a pickle between second and third for the tag out for the second out.

Top of the fifth.
7-1 and Farris is still pitching. I don't see a reason why he shouldn't.
