I know its not basketball or Football but I am really excited for this three game series. Part of me wants to face South Carolina, part of me does not! if we are going to win then it would be nice to beat the two time defending champions. However I know that palying them will make winning more difficult. They have a ton of experience in the post season and they will be very hard to rattle, especially since they will have just came out of the losers bracket.
SCar site and the Hog site are both on VIP lockdown. I asked the Hogs to open it up, but no go. I can't even reply on non-VIP threads in the Gamecock site, it's totally greyed out.
So, I'll take over this thread.
It's tied up at the top of the 6th, 2-2. Arky has a runner on first and one out.

Both teams are hitting the ball well, it is just not carrying over the fence. Score still tied at the top of the seventh.
Arkansas has issued 8 walks.
Quick correction. There are some threads that can be replied to on the Bigspur site but most of it is VIP.

South Carolina wins 3-2.
Matt Price, their reliever, has some serious movement on his pitches. Cats need to be aware of that.
I'm going to say that Carolina looked like the better team tonight. I'm also going to call out the ump for being pretty inconsistent. I really hope we don't draw him in the upcoming series.

Ashton, it looks like the Cats and SC. This ought to be one good series. We are certainly more rested. When you beat a two time champion it is going to feel pretty good.
Seriously, we can play these guys.
They are a good team, I wont deny it, but I didn't see anything that overwhelmed me in this game. Our FSU and UCLA series should have us pretty well prepared. As long as we aren't "cocky".
A quick excerpt from one of the editors, John Whittle, over on the Bigspur site.
South Carolina and Arizona will play a three game series for the national championship beginning on Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on ESPN. Both teams will have a press conference at Noon EDT on Saturday and it will be shown live on ESPNU. The Gamecocks will be the visitors in Game 1 of the championship series. They’ll be the home team in games two and three, if necessary.
Not a bad draw to be the home team two out of three in Omaha. I wonder which way the locals will swing?
OMAHA, Neb. - South Carolina is back in the national championship series after a 3-2 victory over Arkansas on Friday night.
