The thing with Kenzie Fowler is she's hittable. Granted, she's a fine pitcher by softball standards but by Arizona pitching standards she lacks that overpowering element we're accustomed to seeing.

As I'm typing this Notre Dame just got back-to-back singles.

This game is little more fast-paced than usual in my opinion.

Fowler definitely got out of a jam with runners on first and second to end the second inning.

Truly she is hittable, we saw that last year against Oklahoma.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons she list the #1 job to Babcock.

They were talking on the telecast yesterday about the increased parity in softball, and I know Candrea has mentioned it at some point this about how much harder it is to get through the PAC-12 now than it used to be, not to mention getting through Super Regionals.

Might be that we aren't getting the top power pitchers as of late with more and more programs having success and becoming attractive to recruits.

Yeah, that makes sense. Fowler throws about 63 on average. We've had Cats like Mowatt broaching 70 on the gun and that's like going from 85 to 95 in baseball. Big difference. I guess Fowler's our version of Atlanta's Tommy Maddox.

Cats caught a little break with some bad base running by ND. They gave up a run, but still lead 3-1 though after 3.

Nothing fazes Arriola. New pitcher, who cares. Single right up the middle.

Del Ponte came to play and came to play clutch with 3 for 3. Bases loaded on that last hit.
